Preschool Combination Classes ABOUT OUR CLASSES WE LOVE HAVING “FUN” “FUN” is the focus for children under the age of five at Rhythmic Moves. We teach our little ones through the use of simple analogies that they can relate to. Classes are full of wonderful stories, games and props that will bring the joy of dance into the heart of your little one! Our Preschooler & Parent classes (Mum & Me) develop creativity, motor & rhythmic skills as well as basic technique in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Gymnastics and all in a warm & caring environment. Both the children and their parents love it! There is nothing quite as rewarding as being actively involved in your child’s development – watching them try, then master new skills, and seeing their eyes light up with the pure joy of learning! Because our little dancers are very important to us we have developed a fun program that specifically caters for their needs. POSITIVE TEACHING METHODS Children learn more in their first few years than in any other time of their lives. So we aim to encourage children in a positive way, so that they love learning, and in turn will reach their full potential in life. We reward all our dancers who did their best with a bright sticker at the end of class. FREE “TRIAL” CLASS Your first class is FREE! At Rhythmic Moves we believe that every student should trial the class before they make a commitment to join. This way, you can see what we do and if it is right for you. MELODY BEAR® Our classes incorporate Jill Ewing’s Melody Movement syllabus with a dancing teddy called Melody Bear®. Everyone loves Melody Bear and Melody Bear especially loves children. Melody Bear doesn’t always get it right first time, but she loves to dance so much, she just keeps on trying. Melody Bear’s steadfast determination to overcome any difficulty is an inspiration to young and old. And children of all ages will delight in the ups and downs of the lovable teddy who never gives up. Melody Bear and Melody Movement are the registered trade marks of Jill Ewing CLASS TIMES Mondays 9.30 - 10.15am Thursdays 9.30 -10.15am Warning - Occasionally classes may run a few minutes overtime, as students often do not want to go home! FEES YOU CAN AFFORD After your initial trial class there is an annual $22.00 enrolment fee (Includes GST) to be paid per student to secure a position in the class. This fee is non refundable. Every class from then on is only $9.00 (Includes GST) or pay for the entire term upfront and receive a FREE lesson! Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 young dancers, ensuring each student receives individual attention; all missed classes must be paid for! We are thrilled that you are considering to become a part of Rhythmic Moves and applaud you for selecting what we consider a life enhancing experience for your child and yourself. WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS As the students will be doing exercises on the floor it is advised that they wear their own choice of leotard or t-shirt & shorts to class. Please keep hair tied back and off the face. Parents should dress appropriately i.e. no skirts. Please keep jewellery to a minimum as rings can scratch and necklaces can hit our little ones on the head. FOOTWEAR FOR CLASS Ideally the children require a pair of tap shoes for the tap section of class & ballet shoes for the jazz, ballet & gymnastics sections of class. When first commencing a pair of sneakers will suffice for the tap and barefoot for the rest. We have a second hand pool of dancewear at the school and youcan pick up some great bargains! The Corrimal Ballet Shoppe (located on Russell Street, off Princes Hwy Corrimal) will give you a 5% discount when you mention Rhythmic Moves and pay by cash.
